To Teach a Bit of English

Songs of praise are filling the air as we prepare for Round 2 of English Classes! It was a fabulous morning--dozens of conversations with English students, lots of good laughter and smiles, and many answers to prayer--and now, in a few minutes, we're heading back for more!

After an encouraging meeting this morning we wove through Bolivian traffic to a local University (and yes, college students blend in well at a university :-). It was amazing!--our whole team split into mini-conversations all over the courtyard and we had the perfect opportunity to connect with students, share our lives with them, and serve in exciting new ways.

I LOVED those conversations. Two groups--one with a believer who's deep into Christian literature and another group with two believers who are just starting to study English--were a huge encouragement. We enjoyed talking about the body of Christ, how we're united together as brothers and sisters through Him, and what it is like to serve Him in different countries. This was a truly encouraging time!!

After a few hours of chatting we reassembled and jumped in a taxi to grab lunch, but I was so blessed to hear how others were being used in their conversations. It's amazing to be part of a team that's focused on serving others and eager to share Christ with them!! God is at work among us, and it's a marvelous thing to behold!!

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it, meanwhile also praying for us--that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, that we may make it manifest, as we ought to speak." - Colossians 4:2
